Data protection is our priority!

Right from the very beginning of our long-standing reference letter business, we have made it our priority not only to comply with current data protection regulations, but also to use state-of-the-art technology to aid in this.

As soon as the EU GDPR came into force, we added further options to our portfolio and are happy to offer them to our customers. Among them is the option to use MS SharePoint as a means of data exchange. We also pseudonymize content, if required by the customer, at no additional cost. In this context it is important to note that the data exchange via encrypted email connection also complies with data protection.

For customers who do not have their own business option of a secure data exchange, and who do not wish to use the email alternative, we also offer file sharing via DRACOON.

Please note that according to the most current employment law (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG, General Equal Treatment Act), August 14, 2006 (Bundesgesetzblatt (BGBI, Federal Law Gazette) Part I, p. 1897)), only the employee’s name has to be included in the reference letter; providing details such as date of birth, address or civil status is outdated. This means that we do not collect and process sensitive personal data (as defined by the EU GDPR).
